Our Story

A renowned celebrity pastry chef and cake designer from Los Angeles, together with a professional pastry chef with an illustrious career in New York City's finest venues, have joined forces to launch Ina Bakes Studio. This venture is a fusion of their passion and expertise, offering an unparalleled experience in cakes, pastries and desserts. Ina Bakes Studio is the sweet result of two passionate bakers—Carolina Sigbaum and Sabrina Sin—coming together to turn their lifelong love for desserts into a dream bakery on the Westside.

Carolina's Sweet Journey

Carolina, co-founder of Ina Bakes Studio, brings both heart and precision to her craft. Born in Uruguay and raised in southern Argentina, she grew up in a culture where food was more than sustenance—it was celebration, connection, and tradition. Inspired by her aunt’s intricate cake designs and the joy of “merienda,” Argentina’s version of afternoon tea, Carolina’s love for baking began early.

After moving to Santa Monica and starting a family, she began baking cakes for her daughters’ birthdays. Encouraged by glowing feedback from friends and family, she founded Lady C Cakes in 2012. What began as a small cottage bakery quickly gained recognition, with Carolina crafting hundreds of cupcakes and custom cakes for events, television shows, and private clients across Los Angeles.

Her work is known for its balance of stunning design and irresistible flavor. Carolina’s experience in fast-paced kitchens, alongside TV appearances and cake competitions, has made her a confident and creative leader in the industry. She’s also mentored beginner bakers, some of whom have gone on to win national competitions.

For Carolina, every dessert is a piece of art and a piece of someone’s story. Ina Bakes Studio is the realization of a dream years in the making—an inviting space where she and her partner Sabrina can share their love for elevated, handcrafted pastries with California’s Westside community and beyond.

Sabrina's Road to Confection

Sabrina always dreamed of a life in the kitchen, but her journey started behind the scenes of iconic New York venues. After earning a degree in hospitality management from NYU, she planned high-end events at renowned places like The Plaza Hotel and The Rainbow Room. In 2012, she made the move to Santa Monica, and with it, a decision to follow her original dream—baking professionally.

She trained at Sweet Lady Jane and The Peninsula Beverly Hills, where she refined her techniques and fell deeper in love with the art of desserts. After a few sweet years spent raising a family, Sabrina felt ready for her next big step: opening a bakery of her own. That step led her to Carolina, and the vision for Ina Bakes Studio began to take shape.

Together, Carolina and Sabrina bring a unique blend of creativity, experience, and heart to Ina Bakes Studio. Their goal is to create a space where every treat feels personal, every bite delights, and every customer feels like part of the family.

For Sabrina, each dessert tells a story. Whether it’s a show-stopping celebration cake or a quiet afternoon treat, she believes in crafting sweets that spark joy and connection. Ina Bakes is more than a bakery—it’s a love letter to the journey, the dream, and the delicious moments in between.

When it came time to name their bakery, Carolina and Sabrina wanted something that felt true to both of them. The answer was hiding in plain sight—all along, their names ended the same way: -ina. It was a simple, sweet connection that spoke to their partnership and shared purpose.

Ina Bakes Studio is more than a name—it’s a reflection of their unity, creativity, and the joy they hope to bring to every customer who walks through their doors.
